# Academies

> Create and manage the groups that organise your trainees and their reports.

Academies are the core organisational unit in Feedz. Each academy groups a set of trainees under one or more trainers, scoping which coaches can see which Trainees and their reports.

Navigate to **Academies** in the sidebar to see all academies in your organisation.

## Academy list

| Column            | Description                                     |
| ----------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**          | The academy's display name                      |
| **Activity**      | The sport or discipline (e.g. Football, Tennis) |
| **Trainee Count** | Number of trainees currently enrolled           |
| **Trainer Count** | Number of trainers assigned to this academy     |
| **Group Reports** | Number of group-level reports submitted         |
| **Created At**    | Date the academy was created                    |

Each row has an **edit** (pencil) and **delete** (bin) icon on the right.

## Creating an academy

Click **+ New Academy** in the top-right corner. Fill in the form:

* **Name** — the public display name
* **Description** — optional summary
* **Activity** — the sport or discipline
* **Group** — age group (e.g. Adults, Juniors); this selection will also recommend a tone for the AI feedback
* **Feedback tone** — the tone of the reports generated in this academy.

### Feedback tones

| Tone         | Style                                           |
| ------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| **Original** | Preserves the trainer's natural voice           |
| **Warm**     | Encouraging and confidence-building feedback.   |
| **Balanced** | Motivating feedback with clear guidance.        |
| **Direct**   | Clear, practical, and results-focused feedback. |

### Branding

You can custom colours and a logo to be displayed on all reports for this academy, or proceed with the Feedz default.

* **Primary Color** / **Secondary Color** — used in reports and emails for this academy
* **Logo** — appears on all reports generated within this academy

Click **Save changes** to create the academy.

## Editing an academy

Click the pencil icon on any row to update any of the fields above.
